My Approach

Coming home to yourself when your body doesn't follow the plan.

Therapy isn't a straight line.

Sometimes we need to understand what's happening. Sometimes we need to grieve. Sometimes we need to rest. Sometimes we need to make something before we can find the words for it. And sometimes we need to step back from the problem entirely and remember that we're more than the thing we're trying to figure out.

So rather than following a set series of steps, I think of our work as creating more room for you to feel safe enough to be present, notice what's happening, express what you're carrying, and reconnect with yourself.

We move between these things as you need them.

Creating safety in the body

Before we can come home to ourselves, we need somewhere that feels safe enough to land.

When you've spent years pushing through, overthinking, or monitoring what's happening inside you, slowing down can feel surprisingly difficult.

We explore what helps you feel supported and grounded, while making room for the kinds of rest your body and mind actually need. Physical, emotional, creative, sensory, and social rest can all be part of this work.

Cycle awareness can help here, too. Understanding changes in your energy, mood, and capacity can help you work with your body rather than continually asking it to perform the same way every day.

This isn't about learning to "regulate" yourself perfectly. It's about creating enough safety to actually be here.

Awareness

Noticing what's actually happening inside you

It's easy to become very good at monitoring your body without actually feeling connected to it. You may track symptoms, analyze every change, or spend hours trying to figure out what your body is trying to tell you.

Together, we slow that process down. We explore what you're experiencing physically and emotionally, the patterns you're noticing, and the expectations you may be carrying about your body or your life.

The goal isn't to monitor better. It's to learn how to listen differently.

Expression + Processing

Giving your experience somewhere to go.

This is where art therapy comes in.

Some things can't be fully reached through words alone. Through watercolor, drawing, collage, art journaling, and other creative processes, you can give shape to feelings, sensations, expectations, grief, and experiences that may not have words yet.

The art isn't about making something beautiful or getting it right.

It's about creating a different way to experience yourself.

And creativity isn't a break from the therapy. It's part of the therapy.

Reframing + Self-Trust

Coming home to yourself.

When your body isn't doing what you expected, it can take up an enormous amount of space in your life. Fertility, cycles, symptoms, changes, loss, aging—the problem can start to feel like you.

Our work makes room for what you're experiencing while also making room for everything you are beyond it: your creativity, relationships, desires, identity, joy, and grief.

Over time, self-trust grows through the small moments when you listen instead of override, respond instead of control, and allow yourself to be imperfect without deciding you've failed.

You don't have to figure everything out before you can feel at home in yourself.
